Join us for the third and final session of the 2024 Backyard Composting Program. Attend a two-hour composting workshop and go home with a brand new composter so you can start composting at home.
We’ll discuss how the composting process works, how to do it, what you can put in your pile, and some good management practices depending on your goals and desired time commitment.
This workshop is completely free, but SIGN UP IS REQUIRED! Space is limited and composters must be ordered ahead of time. Click the link below to sign up.
The workshop will take place at:
1679 23rd Avenue in Fairbanks, AK from 6pm - 8pm on Thursday June 27th, 2024. It is located in the garden area next to Corinthian Baptist Church on the corner of 23rd and Lathrop St. The church parking lot is available for parking but the building will not be unlocked so there is no bathroom on site. However, there is a public bathroom at the Holiday Gas Station down the road if needed.
The workshop will be outside so please plan accordingly (closed toed/waterproof shoes recommended, bug spray, water bottles, sunscreen, etc.)
